I SAID believed in being courageous and doing hard things.
But, I was actually LYING. Not only to others but also to MYSELF.
Turns out, we don’t show the world our beliefs by what we SAY they are.
Rather, we show the world what we believe in how we act and behave. How we spend our time and money.
❓ What do YOU believe?
❓Do you act in ACCORDANCE with your stated beliefs?
❓Are your actions CONGRUENT with what you say your beliefs are?
❓What would others think your beliefs are- based on how you’re BEHAVING?
Years ago, I woke up and realized:
A person who was REALLY courageous or TRULY believed in doing hard things WOULD:
✔️ Train for a marathon (and run it)
✔️Try skiing (and attempt progressively harder runs!)
✔️Try snorkeling and stand-up paddle boarding (and not just once)
So I did all four things and am SO glad I did. It feels good to be truly congruent with your beliefs.
Listen to this fantastic story about how beliefs and actions are REALLY revealed. Thanks Rory Vaden, for sharing so many amazing stories with the world in your book, “Take the Stairs”.
