LEADERSHP is EVERYWHERE. We were only 9-10 years old at the time, but my elementary school friend taught me the following lessons, which stuck with me forever:

1) Always make practice harder than the game.
2) If you’re going to win, REALLY WIN.
3) Challenging ourselves- and making things harder on PURPOSE- helps us generate a mindset of success.
4) Keeping commitments matters. If you say you’re going to do something, do it.
5) Be honest and straightforward in all your dealings. Create transparency. Have tough conversations. Know they make relationships BETTER, not WORSE. Practice the Speed of Trust behaviors from Stephen M.R. Covey.

This video shares how Sarah taught me these lessons.
